Salclear ScubaSoap deals specifically with the challenges of use in cleaning scuba equipment. Salclear Stingsolve~

Salclear Stingsolve is an effective treatment for common jellyfish stings. It is an active remedy that should be applied onto and around the skin areas affected by the sting, and it quickly neutralises the activity of the living sting cells (nematocytes).

In particular the product works by attacking still active sting cells that have not yet discharged their toxin, and hence Salclear Stingsolve is most effective in preventing further stings and pain, rather than eliminating the pain associated with stings that have already taken place.

Fortunately, most jellyfish stings are not severe. Common jelly fish stings, which do not include dangerous species such as the Box Jellyfish and the Portuguese Man of War, in less serious cases cause localised pain, swelling and discomfort. The best ways to treat such stings include a topical application of an appropriate product such as Salclear Stingsolve to negate the effects of still active sting cells.

Normally a physician should then be consulted and in more serious cases It can be common practice to provide antihistamine drugs or cream, and painkillers coupled with topically applied anaesthetic creams or those used to reduce inflammation.

Jellyfish sting cells appear similar from one species to another, but the venom differs in composition. For example, because the box jellyfish feeds on fish larger than its own body, it requires potent venom for rapid paralysis. While the amount of toxin expressed by a single nematocyst is minute, several thousand nematocysts discharging at once have a significant effect.

Functionally, the toxin disrupts cellular membranes, and releases an inflammatory reaction in the body affecting the nervous tissue and kidneys.

The toxins can contain histamines, and hence antihistamine drugs can be an effective remedy. Immediate acute reactions to the venom tend to be toxic rather than allergic

Salclear Scubalube~

Putting a suit on is hard enough in itself without the added effort of slipping your hands, feet and head through tight latex seals.

Of course the seals need to fit snugly in order to keep out the water on dry or semi dry suits, yet this simple process can cause gradual wear and tear on the seals.

The same too applies to wetsuits, getting them on is not easy, and all that tugging and pulling can tear fabric seams.

Brass and even the latest nylon coated zippers can be hard to close, and it is even harder without the use of a specialist lubricant designed for the purpose.

Salclear E Drops~

Salclear e-drops performs two functions for the swimmer or scuba diver.

It softens the wax in the ear canal and helps its dispersal. In doing so of course it helps open the ear channels and this aids the free flow of trapped water outwards.

Secondly Salclear e-drops is an efficient and effective wetting agent. It lowers the surface tension of water droplets which are stuck in the ear canal, causes them to spread and flow freely.

The end result being a breakdown of the entrapped water droplets to a fluid which more readily runs out of the ear canal.

De Fog Aquasport~

AquaSport is readily dispensed via. a pump spray, and is provided in a 50ml plastic bottle which should easily last between 3-6 months in general use.

Salclear NMP~

Salclear NMP has been specifically formulated for new mask preparation and is particularly good at removing stuborn residues left by some mask manufacturing processes.

A simple application of a few drops of Salclear NMP, a quick wipe or two; a squirt of Salclear AquaSport and a quick wipe or two... and you are done! Cleaned and defogged. It’s that simple

Salclear Ultra~

Salclear Ultra is a straight antifog.

It is supplied in a 15ml dropper bottle, and you need to use very little in order to get the desired effect.. two or three drops and that’s it.

The bottle should see you through the winter. Apply in the dry, wipe with a tissue or the finger and away you go. So as well as being effective, you don’t need to use a lot, it’s economical, and easy to use.

Salclear Scuba -Sorb Pack~

The Salclear Scuba-sorb Pack is a purpose produced package containing everything required in order to prevent humidity condensation and minor leaks from ruining your picture or damaging your equipment.

Included in the pack is Salclear Aquasport antifog spray and 5 small packs of self indicating silica gel beads and two superabsorbant fibre mats.

Salclear Scuba Pack~

This useful and very handy kit includes all of the current Salclear products.

AquaSport, NMP, E-drops and Ultra.

Defogger, mask cleaner, mask preparation, zipper lube and general cleaning fluid, ear drops and swimming pool/warm water defogger.

The products are enclosed in a clear plastic container which has a hinged lid and closing mechanism.

Also included in the kit is a sizeable 37.5cm x 37.5cm blue high quality microfibre cloth. The cloth is soft and non abrasive, and is ideally suited for all of the cleaning and defogging purposes for which the Salclear range have been created. This cloth is washable and reusable.
